King Charles III was topped King of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth realms on Saturday 6 May 2023, in the hallowed partitions of Westminster Abbey. As he walked down the aisle to be topped by the Archbishop of Canterbury with the glowing St Edward’s Crown, he stepped into a function which has been awaiting him for the previous 74 years. Born in 1948, Charles all the time knew that he would one day develop into King: his grandfather was King George VI when he was born, and in 1953, his mom was topped as Queen Elizabeth II. Growing up, the young prince attended Gordonstoun college, earlier than occurring to the University of Cambridge to check Archaeology and Anthropology in 1967. He modified to History for the second half of his diploma and was awarded a 2:2 in 1970.
