The final episode of “The Residence” closes with an emotional title card reading, “In Memory of Andre Braugher.” While memorial tributes are often placed in the first episode of a series, creator Paul William Davies revealed that he intentionally chose to place it at the very end.

“There might have been a natural inclination to do that after the first episode,” Davies told Deadline. “But for me, it was important to do that at the end of the whole series, to say, you were part of all this, and we have not forgotten you.”
