
Martin Clunes has sadly revealed that Dodger, the loyal pooch who performed his dog Buddy in Doc Martin, has died.
The 63-year-old actor paid tribute to his furry buddy who appeared within the comedy drama collection, which ran from 2007 till 2022.
During an episode of The One Show, Martin was requested by Roman Kemp about his former co-star.
‘Your character was always irritated by his dog but you had quite a good way of getting around that,’ stated Roman.
Martin responded: ‘Oh Dodger, oh yeah! He was improbable that boy. Sadly not with us.
‘That was the joke, I assumed “Who hates dogs?” that somebody who hates canines, however all of them love him, they usually simply hang around with him.
He added: ‘So I had to yell at him, throw him around, do all sorts of things, but I never shouted really at him. I just waved my lips around and added in the shouting later.’
In the present, Dodger performed Martin Ellingham’s dog from 2009 till 2019, when he retired.
Dodger was recognized with dementia and didn’t seem within the closing tenth collection of the beloved present.
