Jason Isaacs’ PDA Moment With Walton Goggins Sparks More ‘White Lotus’ Buzz

Jason Isaacs isn’t shying away from the swirling forged feud rumors surrounding season 3 of “The White Lotus.” In reality, he’s leaning all the best way in.

After working into co-star Walton Goggins on a flight, Jason Isaacs snapped a sequence of selfies, together with one the place he crops a kiss on Goggins’ brow.

He then posted them to Instagram on Friday, May 2, with a cheeky caption aimed straight on the drama-hungry followers.

The moment went viral, and not in a good way.

A university official later slammed the show, telling The New York Times the character “does not reflect our values or who we are.”

Isaacs’ response? He showed up to the “White Lotus” finale party wearing the school’s Blue Devil mascot tee.

Of course, fans are still laser-focused on the real-life tension between Goggins and his on-screen love interest, Aimee Lou Wood.

The pair famously unfollowed each other on Instagram after filming wrapped, and Goggins didn’t do much to squash the drama in a new Times UK interview published May 1. When asked about the falling out, Goggins replied, “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” as his publicists swiftly shut down further questions.

Isaacs, in the meantime, acknowledged issues acquired tense behind the scenes throughout a SiriusXM interview final month.

“Everyone was in a little pressure cooker together,” he said. “There’s friendships, there’s romances, there’s arguments, there’s cliques that form and break and reform.”

As for the internet sleuths dissecting every unfollow and subtle jab, Isaacs thinks they’re off the mark.

“Nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about,” he said. “People think they’re onto something, and then it gets magnified… Nobody has any clue.”

Plus, in an interview with The Guardian, printed in February 2025, he mentioned, “You couldn’t avoid one other. There are tensions and difficulties, I don’t know if they spilled from on screen to off-screen, or if it would have happened anyway.”

He added, “There were alliances that formed and broke, romances that formed and broke, friendships that formed and broke. It’s a long period of time for people to be away from their family with an open bar and all the wildness being in Thailand allows.”

Further confusing fans, last month, Goggins gave a heartfelt shoutout to Wood in an Instagram post, writing, “Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget.”

Wood followed with a photo of the two on April 8, captioning it “A perfect storm.”

Adding fuel to the speculation was when Goggins previously had a slideshow of photos with Wood pinned to his Highlights… which is now mysteriously gone.
