
Sian Welby has revealed that she hid her pregnancy from This Morning bosses over fears that she could be dropped from the presenting workforce.
The TV host and radio presenter gave birth to her daughter Ruby in June 2024, who she shares along with her radio producer fiancé Jake Beckett.
The 38-year-old introduced the information in February final 12 months, with simply 4 months left in her pregnancy, weeks after becoming a member of the presenting workforce on This Morning.
Now Sian has revealed that she kept her pregnancy a secret from the programme as a result of she was nervous about shedding her model new TV place.
‘When you first begin a job, you assume “Nobody knows what I’m actually like, that I’m trustworthy” and it’s a must to show your self,’ she instructed Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast.
‘I felt like I had proven myself [on This Morning], that I can do this and that – when I got that first cover with Dermot [O’Leary], I knew I used to be pregnant however I didn’t inform anybody.’

She continued: ‘In the again of my thoughts I used to be pondering, “If I tell them I’m pregnant, will this put them off getting me in again? And will they think I’m gonna be off for ages?”
‘So many women must feel [the same way] in any job, especially if they’re beginning a brand new one. It’s the fear that you simply’re going to be instantly judged or dropped or they’ll ask why you didn’t inform them.’
