The Cleveland Guardians are apologizing to Boston Red Sox star Jarren Duran following a heated confrontation with a fan on the ballpark on Sunday … after the spectator reportedly heckled him over his previous suicide try.
The scene unfolded in the course of the seventh inning of the matchup … when Duran wanted to be held again by umpires and different members of the Red Sox. According to Will Middlebrooks, the fan allegedly instructed Duran he “should have killed himself when he had the chance.”

Shortly after the ultimate out, Cleveland launched a press release … saying it recognized the fan in query and was working with the league on potential subsequent steps.
“We recognize the gravity of the behavior at issue here and take very seriously conduct of this nature,” the staff stated. “We apologize to the Red Sox organization, the player involved, fans in the area and are addressing the situation.”

Earlier this month, Duran opened up about his struggles with psychological well being within the Netflix collection, “The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox” … and talked about virtually taking his life.
“When you open yourself up like that, you’re also opening yourself up to the enemies,” he stated. “But I have a good support staff around me along with teammates and coaches, which is awesome.”
Boston supervisor Alex Cora was happy with how the scenario was dealt with.
“I think security did a good job of it. I think the fan, whatever he said or whatever was going on, security felt like he crossed the line and they kicked him out.”
While the fan’s id is not publicly recognized … Duran made certain to place him on blast with an Instagram Story.
Unless the 2 groups meet within the playoffs … Boston will not return to Cleveland this 12 months — however seems like that fan will not be catching any Guardians recreation for the foreseeable future.
