Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born at 8.34am on 2 May 2015 at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, weighing 8lb 3oz. The second baby of the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Charlotte was given center names in honour of her late grandmother Diana, Princess of Wales, and her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
Princess Charlotte is third in line to the throne after her father Prince William and her brother Prince George, 9. Her youthful brother, Prince Louis, who celebrated his sixth birthday final week, is fourth in line to the throne.
